All A notes sit on white keys that lie between G and B. On the piano, the black keys show a pattern of two then three. In the group of three black keys (the ones above F–G, G–A, and A–B), the A white key sits directly between the middle and right black keys—those are the ones between G and A and between A and B. So every A is found between the two black keys in that three-key group. It’s not between C and D, not between two white keys, and not at the left edge.
